Raspberries won't grow in our area

This is the 2nd year I've tried but it aint happening so I'm giving up on raspberries. Must be a northern thing only. If the plant stays alive (IF) it never grows fruit. I guess its just plain too hot here.

But I did get watermelons to grow. I learned why they're called watermelons cause you better water those melons!
 
Never had good luck with those ones. The consensus on this site would tell you to get a greenhouse methinks, yep
 

I got that and it lets me grow a lot of things I couldn't grow in texas
 
I'm just getting into gardening on account of the food prices. Well I say that but I've been at it for 6 months. So I'm nowhere near as good as you veterans. I have the same trouble with blueberries. I can grow the plant. Can't grow the berries.
