A remote for my lift

I recently bought a used two post lift, and this remote off Amazon has worked out awesome. There's usually a lot of walking back and forth to use the button. I saw that some guys have added a corded switch so I bought this:

Remote controlled start switch rated for 40 amps. The lift is only 20 so I'll give it a try. It's the only one they had with the momentary option. I'll warn you though, the instructions aren't so great for the settings. But there's only so many combinations and it will do a momentary run. Needs a neutral to run the switch, and I ended up justin using spade connectors for the hot wire so my original switch still works.

Worst case scenario the remote stops working. But even if that happens the original switch will still function. Well the worst case is probably the lift sticking in the on position. To fix that, I made the extension cord with a switched plug so I can kill power to the lift quick. It'll also be handy if I add work lights in the future. Hope this helps someone.

Always wanted a lift. Working on getting a garage so I can have one someday. Only thing I don't like about using them is you can feel the car shifting a little when you're really wrenching under there. I know it won't come down if you have it on there right but its still a little freaky to wiggle the whole car when its over your head
